This was followed by a period of employment on the Truman’s Brewery site with contractor Holland, Hannen and Cubitts before returning to consultancy with Halcrow.
Whilst Paul was with Halcrow he spent a year working in Dubai with Halcrow Architects before returning and working with the Orwell Bridge design team. Then followed a long period with Alan Baxter and Associates during which Paul worked on numerous residential projects including Crown Reach, China Wharf and the former Courage Brewery buildings in Shad Thames. He then moved on to Dewhurst Macfarlane and Partners as a Senior Associate.
At Dewhurst Macfarlane Paul Wood and Gary Elliott worked in the same team and eventually left and set up the Elliott Wood Partnership in 1994. Since inception Paul has been responsible for a range of projects covering most structural building types.
