London to Haiti Challenge Update

Our London to Haiti Challenge took place on Saturday 27th March and we had a great turnout of 59 participants: 42 cycled 50 miles, 15 walked 15 miles, and 2 cycled 10 miles.  Our cumulative distance covered was 2345 miles - over half the distance from London to Haiti!  The challenge was in aid of RedR's Haiti response program which aims to provide vital training and support to aid agencies following the devastating earthquake in January.

We were overwhelmed by the support given to Elliott Wood Partnership, both in the number of people who joined us and in the donations we received.   We were delighted to have raised over £8,000, plus £1,000 in gift aid, which exceeded our original target of £6,000.

Thank you to all those who have supported Elliott Wood Partnership and our event.

Lastly, due to the great success of this challenge there is a strong possibility of  an annual event being organised,  in which case we look forward to welcoming all those who are interested in taking part next year.
