HR and Recruitment Officer – Wimbledon

Elliott Wood has entered a busy and exciting time following growth of a number of new projects and the development of its strategy. With this in mind we are recruiting for a HR & Recruitment Officer to join a busy HR Team. The person will support the HR Manager to provide a full range of high quality HR and recruitment support across its three offices.

The person will be someone who has experience in a HR environment and is looking to grow their HR experience and get involved with a wide variety of HR across the business.

We are looking for a proactive individual who will work closely with the different client groups within the business. The person needs to be confident and solutions focused with an interest in our projects and happy to help out other teams when necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience advising on a range of HR and recruitment issues. They will have excellent prioritisation and time management skills and will have strong capabilities sourcing talent through direct recruitment approaches.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Human Resources

  • First point of contact for all general HR queries
  • Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations and resourcing issues
  • Maintain and update Elliott Woods central HR database (BreatheHR)
  • Accurate recording of sickness absence in relation to self-certification on the HR database
  • Coordinate the process for starters, probations and leavers
  • Prepare monthly payroll advice to external payroll bureau
  • Management of all benefits and communication

Recruitment & Selection

  • Direct recruitment for operational and technical engineering roles, including the coordination of EW annual Graduate Programme and Work Experience Programme
  • Manage recruitment campaigns from end to end at a fair cost
  • Develop a pool of direct candidates for potential recruitment
  • Coordinate and develop the Graduate recruitment programme and work experience programme

Learning and Development

  • Support the HR Manager in the preparation and delivery of talent management activities
  • Provide advice and support to all employees regarding the appraisal process, and 360 feedback

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Support HR Manager in preparation of key analytical reports
  • Assist in processing, recording and monitoring all spend against the HR budgets

Business Development Coordinator – Nottingham office

Do you have previous experience in Business Development and would like to develop further in this area? Interested in working for a leading and progressive structural and civil engineering consultancy?

We are looking for an ideal candidate to assist with Elliott Wood’s Business Development strategy from our Nottingham office. Working with our dedicated team, this role will also provide critical project support to our creative engineers along with key operational responsibilities, ensuring the smooth running of the office.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Business development
    • Production of presentations,  bids and PQQ’s as required and to deadlines
    • Provide assistance to manage client events e.g. business development events, seminars and or drinks receptions
    • Involvement in CRM and managing  aspects of the client relationship database
    • Liaising closely with the Marketing and wider BD team, attend regular BD meetings via conference link.

Project and Operational Support

  • Team invoicing
  • Meeting and greeting clients/visitors with a polite and professional manner
  • Printing and issuing technical drawings, documents and reports to clients
  • Team diary management
  • Coordinating submissions for competitions, tenders and expressions of interest 

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and keen to learn, with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach of working. This is a great chance to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you can demonstrate your solid office and business development experience. You will be proficient in working with the MS Office packages (i.e. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), be confident in using InDesign and experience of working with databases would also be beneficial.

Lead Revit Technician and BIM Coordinator

At Elliott Wood we are passionate about engineering and innovation and are currently looking for a Lead Revit Technician to join our Wimbledon engineering team. The role will be to work on a variety of projects across many sectors; from challenging high rise structures, to CLT housing, schools, offices and sculptures. Structural Engineer

Civil Engineer

We are looking for a Chartered (or near Chartered) Civil Engineer to join our engineering practice within our Nottingham office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to establish and drive a Civils function in our Nottingham practice with the support and close working relationship with our Wimbledon Civils team.   • You should be proficient in MicroDrainage, AutoCAD and ideally AutoCivil 3D or PDS
