The building form comprises a distorted delta shaped roof supported on columns within the internal space allowing the external walls to finish short of the soffit and allow natural light into the space. The reinforced concrete roof geometry is different on the top surface to help collect rainwater and avoid excessive rainwater pipes.
The roof was cast as a single pour of concrete. The shuttering and concrete mix were carefully chosen to enable a high quality, water resistant exposed concrete finish.
