Major new civic centre for east London
As part of a design team led by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects (AHMM), Elliott Wood have been appointed as structural Engineers for a major new civic centre in East London.
The £77m new Civic Centre based in Whitechapel east London will see the grade II listed 18th century Royal London Hospital transformed as a public building open to the borough of Tower Hamlets. The scheme as a whole includes the refurbishment and redevelopment of other buildings and sites in Whitechapel and the surrounding area.
Set for completion in 2021 the new Civic Centre will be a key part of Whitechapel’s wider regeneration.
