The Rotherhithe Festival – Latest

The Rotherhithe Festival

The Rotherhithe Festival is organised by a committee of local residents. It is led by the Chair of the Canada Estate Tenants and Residents Association, Barry Duckett.

The Rotherhithe Festival is a free event, made possible by a group of sponsors and the local authority, and it is aimed at all sections of the community. The festival provides a day of entertainment and information and the stalls that line the periphery of the festival ground contain a mixture of professional companies (which include some of the festivals main sponsors), Southwark based charities, church/religious groups and organisations, community groups, craft stalls, information stations, and food stalls.

For the second year running, Elliott Wood ran its own stall to showcase the Rotherhithe Bridge and the benefits it would bring. With detailed information on offer, along with free merchandise, including tote bags, badges and t-shirts, the stall proved to be very popular, and one again, proof that the Rotherhithe Bridge is both needed and supported by the local community.
