The Walsall Housing Group receives planning permission – Latest
Elliott Wood Partnership are pleased to be working on this project with Architects Bisset Adams.
This building is a four-storey steel framed structure, utilising cellular beams in order to accommodate service runs within the structural floor zone. A significant transfer structure is provided at first floor level to accommodate a change in footprint above. A glazed atrium runs across the width of the building, splitting it into two separate structures. This acts to minimise the potential effects of thermal movement. Sustainable design features are an important aspect of the project, with natural ventilation, rainwater harvesting and sedum roofing used.
