Time to do More podcast with Georgia Elliott-Smith

In the latest episode of our Time to do More podcast, Gary Elliott speaks to sustainability consultant and environmental activist, Georgia Elliott-Smith.

Georgia is an environmental engineer and UNESCO Special Envoy for Youth and the Environment. In 2003, Georgia established sustainability consultancy, Element 4, where she has worked with organisations such as the Bank of England, Landsec, Lloyds and Mace to deliver more sustainable projects and business practices.

She has previously taken the UK Government to the high court over its failure to uphold the Paris agreement in relation to CO2 emissions. Her latest case is an appeal that seeks to establish a legal definition of the word ‘limit’ in the context of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Gary caught up with Georgia to find out about her latest court case and why the incineration industry is fuelling demand for more highly polluting incinerators.
