Three wins at the Civic Trust Awards

We’re delighted to announce that two of our projects are among the winners at the Civic Trust Awards 2021!

Marmalade Lane is a collective custom build development in Cambridge from Trivselhus UK and We Are Town. We worked closely with Mole Architects to deliver 42 new homes that are designed to foster community spirit and sustainable living. The scheme was also celebrated with a Special Award for Sustainability. It is also an excellent example of the benefits of the collaborative use of factory-based timber construction. Lea Fields Crematorium is a new £6m crematorium in Nottinghamshire, constructed on a previously undeveloped site for West Lindsey District Council. One of several recent collaborations with Haverstock, the crematorium has been thoughtfully designed to maintain the flow of mourners and give the utmost dignity to visitors. Roads and pedestrian routes have been carefully considered to reduce the risk of crossover of mourners and to ensure the site is sensitively set within the landscape.

Many congratulations to everyone involved. It’s fantastic to win recognition for developments that prioritise community and sustainability, in line with our ethos of engineering a better society.

The Civic Trust Awards scheme was established in 1959 to recognise outstanding architecture, planning and design in the built environment and reward projects that offer a positive cultural, social, economic or environmental benefit to their local communities.
