Senior Civil Engineer

Location:  Nottingham

Contract: Full time, Permanent

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Senior Civil Engineer to join our Nottingham office Civil’s team. The ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in all aspects of civil engineering on construction projects such as: drainage including SuDS, cut and fill, pavement/ hardstanding design, external levels, flood risk assessment and using Civils 3D or equivalent software.

You will be a confident communicator and collaborative worker capable of managing all aspects of projects including financials. You will have the drive to develop business for Elliott Wood and develop your own career.

We are seeking applications from Engineers who are chartered or near Chartered with ICE.

Becoming an Elliott Wood Graduate Engineer

The projects we work on are especially diverse, from challenging high rise structures to art sculptures and installations. Over the past 24 years, we have built a reputation of delivering a high quality service and exceptional engineering. What do our grads do?

We are keen to ensure that all of our graduates get to work on a wide variety of projects of varying types and sizes. You will develop your project management skills, collaborative working skills and be encouraged to help create innovative and sustainable engineering for our clients.

On our exciting projects graduate engineers work as part of a dedicated and experienced team to deal with all aspects of design, from inception through to completion of works on site under the supervision of a senior member of staff. You will be responsible for instructing technicians to carry out production information, liaising with Architects and clients and undertaking design meetings and site visits.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for passionate Engineering graduates wanting to take their first steps into a great career. You will be driven, creative in your approach and keen to push the boundaries of innovative design and put your degree skills into practice by hitting the ground running, working on our exciting portfolio of Structural and Civil Engineering projects. 

Requirements:

Minimum of 2:1 in an Engineering discipline degree

Maths, English and Science A-Levels minimum grade B

Excellent written and communication skills

Evidence of project management skills – time, resources and managing competing demands

A keen interest in Engineering, Design and Sustainability in the built environment
