Purpose-led Practice
We are engineers and built environment professionals who are driven by the idea of better.
We inspire clients and organisations to think differently about their spaces - not just aesthetically and commercially – but the benefit of the planet and people who use them every day.
As an Elliott Wood team member, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects, from art installations to award-winning buildings and masterplans, collaborating with and supported by leaders and changemakers across the built environment.
A B Corp Certified practice - one of only a few in our industry - we meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. From the Structural Carbon Tool we developed with the IStructE to our collaborative coworking space at The Society Building, we back up our ambitions with action.

Early Career Opportunities
We are currently recruiting for Graduate Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Sustainability Consultants to join our dynamic team.
Recruitment for our Graduate Programme takes place one year in advance, and we are now accepting applications from candidates graduating in 2025. Successful applicants will begin with us in September 2025.
We offer Summer Internships across Civil & Structural Engineering, Sustainability Consultancy, and roles within our operations teams.
Our internships provide university students the opportunity to work alongside our team for a 6 week placement.
During this time, you'll engage in real-world projects and potentially secure a future graduate position with us. These internships are designed to give you valuable insights into your chosen field and enhance your employability.
Each summer, we offer one-week Summer Placements to up to 8 talented University students.
This opportunity allows you to experience life at Elliott Wood, shadowing a mentor or buddy and participating in activities that will immerse you in our culture.
Whether you're interested in Civil or Structural Engineering, Sustainability Consultancy, or our operations teams, this is your chance to gain real life experience of working at Elliott Wood.
We occasionally offer apprenticeship opportunities across our engineering and operations teams. As an apprentice, you’ll gain valuable on-the-job experience while working towards a recognised qualification in your chosen field.
If you’re looking for a pathway to a successful career in engineering or business operations, this could be the perfect option for you.

What drives you?
Engineers have always helped facilitate change. With the challenge of the climate crisis before us, and in a world that is rapidly evolving, there is a pressing need to do better for ourselves and our planet. At Elliott Wood, we challenge ourselves with the big questions: What kind of society do we want to live in? What can we do to address the climate emergency? What will our engineering legacy be?
To help us address these challenges and change the outdated habits of our industry, we created a framework called ETHICS – Energy, Technology, Health, Infrastructure, Culture and Sustainability. By investing in these areas of enquiry, we become better Engineers, enabling us to Engineer a Better Society.
