Planning has been submitted for the adaptive reuse of Grade I listed Custom House into a luxury 179-room hotel.
Reimagining the Public Realm
The proposals go beyond the building itself, delivering a reimagined public realm that reconnects Londoners to the riverside.
A new landscaped public quayside terrace unlocks a constrained stretch of the Thames Path. Restoring public access and bringing a new cultural, social and economic life to the site.

Our Approach
Adaptive reuse is grounded in respect for the building's past while finding new ways to make it relevant and resilient for generations to come.
Our involvement in Custom House builds on our expertise in working with complex heritage assets. Including the conversion of the Grade I listed former Midland Bank headquarters into The Ned and Churchill’s Old War Office into world-class luxury destination The OWO.
