Nominated for Built by Nature's Frontrunner of the Year Award 2026
04.09.2026
Elliott Wood has been nominated as one of three UK candidates for Built by Nature’s Frontrunner of the Year Award 2026, recognising our contribution to accelerating the transition to timber and biobased construction.
The award celebrates organisations demonstrating leadership not only through project delivery, but through research, collaboration, advocacy, knowledge sharing and active participation in the Built by Nature network.
Our nomination reflects our timber-led project work, including the recently completed 38 Berkeley Square for BEAM and General Projects’ Singer Studios, which received planning approval last year.
These projects form part of our wider work to demonstrate how timber can be used confidently and commercially across complex urban developments.
Leadership, research and knowledge sharing
The nomination also recognises our wider contribution to the Built by Nature network and the industry. Sarah Moore and Andrew Skinner have recently played a leadership role in the immediate post-ADB programme of work, including supporting the development of the Frontrunner Network Toolkit and Elliott Wood’s own response.
Our teams also continue to contribute to research addressing practical barriers to greater timber adoption, including Damage Assessment and Repair and ROOT to Market. Alongside this, we share practical knowledge through initiatives including our Regenerative Design Handbook, the Commercial Timber Guidebook and our professional development seminar on technical timber.
