Shona Virden cycling to COP26

On Wednesday 27 October, Shona Virden will be heading off on an epic 6 day / 453 mile cycle from London to Glasgow to raise to raise funds in support of Let’s Go Zero with the Iceni Projects team. Launched by Ashden, Let’s Go Zero (LGZ) is the national campaign uniting teachers, pupils, parents and their schools as they all work together to be carbon zero by 2030.

The campaign is run by a coalition of eight major NGOs supporting schools on sustainability, including Global Action Plan, WWF, Sustrans, Soil Association, Fairtrade Foundation, EcoSchools and Carbon Trust. To date, over 415 schools have joined the campaign and are committed to action.

Along the course of the cycle route, the Iceni team will be visiting many of the young people and their teachers working together through the Let’s Go Zero campaign to transform our schools and help safeguard our planet for future generations. They’re almost half way towards reaching their £10k goal! Any donations would be gratefully received!
