BCO NextGen Award winners – Latest

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we won 'Employer of the Year' at the BCO NextGen Awards!

Recognising us as an organisation which has created a stimulating and supportive work environment throughout the past 25 years, the Awards are part of the BCO’s NextGen programme, which sets out to mentor and encourage the next generation of professionals to become future leaders in the industry, whilst providing a platform for new talent to share ideas.

When Elliott Wood was established, one of the key goals was to create a place where people wanted to work, and investing in our team's welfare has always been important to us. Engineering a Better Society starts with a healthy happy team, and it’s fantastic to receive this recognition!

In 2017 we set about re-visiting our principles to identify what we wanted to stand for, what we, as a collective believed in. This year-long exercise included developing our brand vision, putting in place a clear strategy for the future to drive and inspire all of our team and to create an exciting place of work, through developing our infrastructure and office environment. The vision we created was to ‘Engineer a Better Society’, a purpose which aims to make a real difference and give what we do as engineers real meaning. We recognised that the next generation care and want to make a difference. We wanted to be an employer who can enable change, provoke our industry to do what it can, and fundamentally ensure that we make a difference.

The reason this means a lot is that when we first established Elliott Wood one of our key goals was to create a place where people wanted to work and investing in our teams welfare has always been important to us. To be recognised for this is truly rewarding!
