Happy birthday to The Ned! – Latest

The Ned Hotel celebrates its first birthday today!

We remember the opening night one year ago, and what a fantastic opening night it was!

From the outset of the project, Elliott Wood undertook extensive problem solving to deal with the complexity of the existing building during construction with clear communication to communicate proposed solutions to the contract and design team.

The design programme was quick and efficient, ensuring works were completed as soon as possible, from the first stage of due diligence in September 2012 to completion in April 2017.

In short, the building would not have been able to function as a hotel or have retained the vast majority of the existing listed fabric of the building, without the careful structural interventions Elliott Wood made.
