Barnard Park Improvement Works, London – Projects

Elliott Wood worked alongside Ireland Albrecht landscape architects and London Borough Islington’s Parks Team to make major improvements to Barnard Park to create a more accessible, biodiverse and attractive space for local people. The development proposals included a new community hub, revised pedestrian routes through the park, improvements to three park accesses and the replacement of a 11-a-side- pitch with a 9-a-side 3G pitch.

Elliott Wood provided transport and parking advice for the redevelopment of the park, ensuring access to the park was optimised and minimising the impact on local car parking. The findings of the study were summarised in a Transport Assessment (Healthy Street’s format) and Travel Plan for the major planning application. The development was granted unanimous approval at planning committee on 8 March 2022.
