Elliott Wood has worked in collaboration with Pitman Tozer architects and the Guinness Partnership to develop an innovative twenty storey residential tower design within the Guinness Trusts Fulham Palace Road estate. The proximity of live rail and road infrastructure combined with poor access has led the design towards a highly innovative prefabricated timber frame solution.
As part of the detailed assessment undertaken on behalf of the client Elliott Wood developed a bespoke CO2 BIM tool that has quantified the potential embedded carbon savings associated with the lighter timber frame. Elliott Wood has also collaborated with market specialists to refine the details and improve the constructability of what would be the tallest timber structure here in the UK.
