- Multiple foundation schemes were developed for cost analysis by the Contractor at an early stage. This allowed the most cost-efficient solution for the site, reinforced concrete strip footings, to be identified.
- The foundation depth was optimised with steps in depth, to satisfy the requirements for nearby retained trees while minimising excavation and concrete costs
- The concrete superstructure was designed to allow for exposed soffits, providing the benefits of increased thermal mass and omission of ceiling finishes.
