This project at St Augustine’s Priory School involves a new atrium link building and multi-purpose sports hall.
The atrium link building has been designed to improve circulation between the existing school buildings whilst also creating additional teaching space and break-out areas. The new steel-framed structure will sit between the existing buildings and has been designed to minimise the impact on adjacent buildings and their foundations.
The multi-purpose sports hall will provide much needed indoor sports facilities for the school and the wider community.
The School is located on a stunning 4.8ha south facing site, designated as Metropolitan Open Land. Elliott Wood are working closely with the school and Local Authority to implement sustainable drainage strategies to ensure the surface water run-off is effectively managed onsite whilst also utilising the open green space available.
The project is currently at planning stage with the planning application submitted for approval.
