T4 Hotel, London – Projects

This prestigious hotel development consists of an 8-storey RC framed structure with two basement levels and will hold over 700 rooms for the Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Significant challenges have been overcome to design within the constraints of the Heathrow area, working in close proximity to complex existing service routes.

Elliott Wood have developed the structural scheme from stage 3 onwards, adding substantial value with efficiencies such as designing a raft foundation solution in lieu of piled foundations, and rationalising the scheme to reduce the amount of steelwork required in the atrium roof. We have also significantly reduced the carbon footprint by specifying 40% cement replacement in the RC frame.
